I'm not familiar with air conditioners because I live in a cold climate and I have focused on heating homes and not cooling them. I've noticed an increase in interest in Greencore's solar air heater. It uses solar cells to generate electricity to run the air conditioner.

My name is Gordon and I got the idea for this site while attending a premeeting meeting about homelessness in northern New Hampshire. Affordable housing and heating kept being mentioned as big issues in the north. As the ecopreneur in the group I realized that by promoting inexpensive renewable energy products I could stimulate the economy and reduce people's heating fuel costs.

When my job was to administer federal fuel assistance funds I noticed that a lot of my clients lived in trailers or "mobile homes." Mobile homes are notoriously fuel inefficient but are perfect for solar thermal technologies because the amount of heated space is quite small. I've seen plans online that could heat a trailer durring the day with very little use of fossil fuels.
